Here is a first exclusive look at the Volk 21A on-car in our signature sizing with large outer lipS. ALONG WITH OUR JDM VOLK 21A PROGRAM, our 21A BMW M program has been created for users looking to achieve the classic mesh-design AESTHETIC that was popular back when the SE37K was around. The new age 21A embodies the same DNA that RAYS Engineering helped use to develop the SE37K along with the classic Volk MESH in 1975.
The Volk Racing 21A also exists in a variety of JDM sizes, ranging from 18x8.5 widths up to 18x12 widths, in 5x114.3, 5x100, and 5x120. Many of these sizes boast proper brake clearance that has historically lacked in other wheels that are equipped with a double-stepped outer lip and inner design. On our Project E92 M3, we are equipped with OUR 18x10.5 SIZING, sporting 295 Yokohama AD09 tires all around. Based on our recent findings and field-testing, we have tested these to clear numerous 355mm, 365mm, and 380mm factory and aftermarket brake kits. Clearance becomes very tight both on the caliper face as well as the outside of the caliper as we approach 380mm, and a spacer may be necessitated with certain setups. IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER INSIDE STRUT AND SPRING PERCH CLEARANCE WHEN RUNNING SUCH A WIDE WHEEL ON MACPHERSON-TYPE SUSPENSION. We are CONSTANTLY working on development sizes for various makes and models to provide even more OPTIONS WITH ADDITIONAL inner barrel and caliper clearance, so if you are interested in a specific size, please fill out our query using our contact form or specify the size during your checkout.
